Product Design

Electronic Arts — Connectivity reporting tool

Working alongside the UX and Engineering team at EA, I helped design a connectivity reporting tool for gamers, now used worldwide.

Brought in as a contractor, I had the responsibility of leading the product design from 0 → 1, using customer research to inform the designs.

Software Design & UI Engineering

Bose audio engineering

I worked on the early redesign and code for one of Bose’s legacy products, an audio engineering tool which is used in music venues across the globe.

As well as setting up the initial design system and layout, I also helped to build some of the front-end styling in React alongside the incredible team at Instil.

Web design & UI engineering

Pitchbooking.com redesign

I was fortunate to work with Pitchbooking — a website used to book a range of facilities — to redesign their entire website, including the marketing page, booking experience, and login flow.

Working with their engineers, I was tasked with building all of the front-end UI to be implemented with the existing codebase.

Product Design

Stroll insurance

Again working with the brilliant team at Instil, I helped bring to life a design system and multiple features for Stroll, a new car insurance platform in Northern Ireland.

The designs span across both mobile and web, with a simplified quoting flow and portal access.

Hey! I’m Dan, a designer-who-codes. Originally from the UK, now living in the States!

I have 6+ years of experience across web & product design. Most recently I worked as a designer and developer at Little Thunder — a studio helping businesses big and small go from idea to launch.

Whether it’s branding, design systems, or product design, I have a passion for sweating the details — from the big-picture strategy, down to the micro-interactions. I have always loved working at the intersection of design and code, and being able to build things from scratch.

In my spare time you can find me playing the drums, learning Spanish, and nerding out on well-kerned type!

I'm currently looking for my next role in a design-centric company. Feel free to get in touch!
